A. Absolutely! The Love Shack is an approved licensed outdoor wedding venue, meaning we are lucky enough to be able to carry out legally binding non-religious civil ceremonies, as well as blessings.
A. We want to make your wedding planning as stress free as possible. Just let us know your preferred date and time, and we can check availability with Cheshire East registrars and make a provisional booking for you. This will be held for 48 hours, at which point you will need to contact them directly to secure the booking. All we need to do this is some basic information about you both, such as names, address and contact details.
A. Once you have secured your booking with Cheshire East registrars, we will receive booking confirmation, at which point your wedding countdown is on! We will get in touch with you to confirm and provide details of how to pay the 25% deposit for The Love Shack.
A. The Love Shack is an intimate elopement style venue, and we can accommodate 8 guests including the wedding couple. Children are included in the total numbers.
A. Yes, all civil ceremonies require two witnesses over the age of 18 and they can be your family, friends or children. If you’re after a true elopement style wedding, then Dominic and I would be honoured to be your witnesses.
A. The Love Shack has both an indoor and outdoor space to cater for all weathers for the ceremony. The woodland ‘aisle’ to The Love Shack is sheltered by trees so doesn’t get quite as wet. We can also supply wedding umbrellas for really wet weather and for you to use throughout your stay. Should the great British weather prove unforgiving, there is the option of having your ceremony in one of our luxury lodges which are also licensed for civil ceremonies.
A. Of course! The Love Shack has a drape and flowers on the back wall and rustic lanterns for an understated look. The Love Shack sign and all furniture are moveable. A lot of couples love the simplicity but it absolutely can be used as a blank canvas for you to decorate according to your personal tastes.
A. Depending on the time of year, size and age of the dog we are happy to discuss options, so please get in touch.
A. We will arrange a check-in time to suit you and your ceremony time and we will discuss this with you to ensure you have plenty of time to get ready.
A. Yes, our suppliers list provides fantastic local photographers which we can send out to you on request. Please do take a look at their websites and give them a call for an accurate quote as they all do a micro package especially for The Love Shack.
A. Take a look at our supplier list for some fabulous local recommendations to suit all tastes. All the team at Moss Wood know the area very well so can provide personal recommendations and we can happily point you in the right direction if you’re after a particular cuisine or ambiance. We ask our couples to organise any outside catering or restaurants directly with the supplier so they are able to discuss options.
A. Yes, The Stables lodge has a seating area inside and outside for up to six people. We also have picnic benches and plenty of seating jotted around the grounds.
A. We love family weddings and think it’s wonderful to be able to include them. Younger children are able to stay in your lodge with you for an additional charge, and we have a second lodge ‘The Summerhouse’ available for any older children. We can discuss options and preferences with you before you book.
A. Yes, most definitely, we can provide guest accommodation in The Summerhouse. This luxury open plan lodge has a super king-sized bed on the lower level, which can be split into two single beds if required. There is an option to also have two single beds on the mezzanine level so it is perfect for up to four older children, or it very comfortably sleeps two adults and two children or simply just two adults.
A. We can highly recommend both Cottons Hotel & Spa and The Mere Resort & Spa which are both within 2 miles of Moss Wood.
A. The Love Shack is the perfect spot for anyone to tie the knot and everyone receives the warmest of welcomes.
A. No, as we specialise in elopement for very small weddings, we have a strict policy that no more than 8 people can attend including the wedding couple and we cannot accommodate more than six.
A. Yes, of course. We provide local suppliers who we know of and have been highly recommended, however, we are very happy for you to use your own.
