Your LOVE SHACK WEDDING

The grounds at Moss Wood are a breathtaking backdrop throughout the seasons, whether you prefer the gardens in full bloom during late Spring and Summer, or the stunning autumnal colours as the leaves start to turn. You might choose a Winter wonderland wedding, with dramatic woodland lighting and a magical candlelit tree lined aisle.

Being a small intimate venue such as we are, we have much more flexibility when it comes to planning your day and with no other guests to worry about, many couples also opt for a midweek getaway.

Weekend weddings

Weekend weddings normally take place on a Saturday with arrival the day before (Friday) anytime, after 4pm for a 2-night stay in a luxury lodge. This gives you the opportunity to explore your surroundings, sneak a peek at The Love Shack, run through any final details with us and of course find some chilling out time before your special day. Enjoy a relaxed morning as a newly married couple, checkout is by 11am the day after your wedding.

No big traditional guest list opens up a lot more freedom when it comes to planning your day and that also includes the day you choose, as often big weddings tend to take place with guest availability in mind. We can offer mid-week packages including two nights accommodation in The Stables for couples looking to escape. These normally take place on a Wednesday with arrival the day before (Tuesday) anytime after 4pm for a 2-night stay in a luxury lodge.

This gives you the opportunity to explore our surroundings, sneak a peek at The Love Shack, run through any final details with us and of course find some chilling out time before your special day. Enjoy a relaxed morning as a newly married couple, check-out the day after your wedding is by 11.00am

Mid-week weddings

MUSIC

Your favourite song or special piece of music can be played as you walk from your lodge down the woodland aisle towards The Love Shack, and also while signing the register and leaving The Love Shack as a married couple! We will liaise with you beforehand to make sure this is all organised prior to your wedding.

"The Perry-Lees - We would absolutely recommend The Love Shack! We got married here on 14th December 2022. Initially we had booked at the registry office with a function room, those plans grew arms and legs and turned into an event that was just the opposite to what we wanted. Following a recommendation from a close friend, we stumbled across The Love Shack and immediately fell in love. From the initial contact with Wendy, you could just tell that she was such a kind and incredible human, dedicating her time to create our special moment of getting married. Wendy was super responsive, full of information and encouragement, helping with suppliers such as photographers and catering to bringing all of our plans together with zero fuss. The Stables has both an indoor and outdoor table that can seat up to 6 people. For larger groups, we also have The Shimmy Shack dining and chill out area which seats up to 10. There are also various seating and bench areas around the gardens and woods for couples to sit, relax, drink and eat and not forgetting those perfect photo opportunities to capture many moments to treasure forever.

Fire pit and S’mores

Once the sun has gone down, you can enjoy exclusive use of the fire pit where they can snuggle down with blankets. Marshmallows and cookies will be provided.

We have an extensive list of hand-picked local suppliers including photographers, restaurants, outside caterers, florists, mobile wedding hair and makeup artists as well as many more, so please do get in touch and we will happily send the list to you once you have confirmed your booking.

We were privileged to be able to host our elopement wedding at this unbelievably beautiful venue. The love shack is the perfect place for the ceremony and Moss Wood itself is such a private and secluded place to stay before and after. It is everything we dreamt of.Wendy is the most amazing host who was helpful in the preparation and on the day making it so stress free. She took the time to spend with us and show us around and the extra little things she did, like playing music in the woodland whilst we had a wonder around, made all the difference. She also know when to leave us alone to take in the time together which was nice.Herself and her husband acted as witnesses for us but even though we had only met them that weekend you could tell they enjoyed every minute and that meant the world as it was our happy day we were spending with them. They also looked after our dog too whilst we said our vows.The wood lodge was just beautiful and the perfect place to stay and it is so lovely having the venue exclusively as you could feel totally at ease and relax knowing you weren't going to bump into anyone else.We really couldn't recommend the love shack enough. We couldn't have been any happier and we have really enjoyed sharing our photos and memories with our family and friends.

This place is absolutely stunning 💖 Wendy and her husband could not do enough to help you. The stable and summer house are lovely and there's everything you need In them. We couldn't have asked for a more a magical wedding day and stay. The grounds and cabins at Moss Woods were stunning, with everything you could possibly need provided. The woodland area, lake and views of open fields offered so many wonderful photo opportunities (and a great view whilst eating breakfast!). Wendy and her family were so welcoming and worked with all our vendors behind the scenes to remove any potential wedding stressors. Nothing was too much for Wendy, from providing a fire pit every night to setting up a personalised breakfast spread. We left feeling incredibly relaxed and ready to start married life. We can't thank you enough Wendy! Anyone thinking about getting married here shouldn't give it a second thought ♥️

Beautiful location and fantastic hosts, so quiet, intimate and romantic. You also get to stay in a gorgeous lodge with lovely food and a luxury hamper. Nothing was too much trouble for our host, thanks again Wendy.
